Xiaomi Pad 5 is coming with Android 12 and MIUI 13.1 update globally

Xiaomi Pad 5 is coming with Android 12 and MIUI 13.1 update globally. A limited number of customers will first get the update, which will then progressively spread, for the European and international versions of the Xiaomi Pad 5. For those who lack patience, there is a manual update option as well. The Pad 5 was released with MIUI 12.5 and Android 11 last year.

It will be updated to Android 12 and MIUI 13.1 with the new update, which also contains the most recent September security patch. If you have a worldwide unit, be on the lookout for version 13.1.1.0.SKXMIXM, and if you have a European slate, check for version 13.1.2.0.SKXEUXM. This year saw the arrival of the MIUI 13-equipped variant in India.

Aside from mentioning the latest Android version and security patch, the changelog is pretty brief. MIUI 13 updates the look, adds new widgets, enhances security and smart home integration, and more. One significant change in version 13 was the addition of a “MIUI Pad” branch that is intended for big displays.

By the way, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is only one of more than twenty devices that will get MIUI 13 in Q1. If you’re interested, we have a review of the Xiaomi Pad 5 as well as a video comparison with the iPad (though keep in mind that it was completed with the original MIUI 12.5 software) (2021).

One more point: as we just indicated, updating may be done manually. You may get the download and instructions by clicking the Source link (note that only the global ROM is available for download at the time of writing). The Updater app is used for installation.
