Xiaomi 12T Pro comes with a contemporary art look. Today, Xiaomi announced the release of the Daniel Arsham Edition Xiaomi 12T Pro. A New York-based artist collaborated on the phone’s design to make it more than just a phone.
The phone itself is a 12 GB/256 GB model with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU and a 200-megapixel camera, but the back panel is green and covered with copper-colored crystals that reflect light in various ways depending on the viewer’s viewpoint. Daniel Arsham predicted that in twenty years, individuals who own this phone would treat it more like a sculpture than a phone, keeping it on them for reasons other than making calls.

The rear panel is the outcome of the concept artist’s “sculptural ideas of obsolescence and natural erosions on a smartphone,” which he says he created by experimenting with various textures. Xiaomi has said that the partnership is geared “toward an envisioned future of digital dematerialization” and is based on the company’s ideals of innovation, design, and manufacture.
The one-of-a-kind mobile phone will set you back €899, with production limited to only 2,000 pieces. The Xiaomi 12T Pro Daniel Arsham Edition will be available for pre-order on December 5 and for sale on mi.com and highsnobiety.com on December 16. A temporary shop in Berlin will open for two days during the debut.
