The twin cameras and large battery were maintained, but the manufacturer brought in an outdated processor and less RAM to reduce the price. The Vivo Y22 has a 6.5″ LCD with a waterdrop notch and 720p resolution.
On the rear of the device is a 50-megapixel camera, while on the front is an 8-megapixel camera. The Y22s have a similar footprint, and both feature a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W charging. However, the Y22 is 2 grams lighter. The Helio G85 chipset is the primary upgrade. Despite Vivo’s marketing, this “gaming CPU” is two years old and was first used in mid-range handsets in 2020.
