The Vivo X200 series will launch on October 14 at an event in Beijing, China. We expect to see the Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro. There’s also a new addition – the Vivo X200 Pro Mini.
The name of the mini version appeared on Weibo. It was shared by Jia Jingdong, a Vivo brand manager when he introduced a new ambassador. He welcomed Zheng Qingwen, an Olympic tennis player who won gold in Paris 2024. This made her the first Asian woman to achieve the honor. Jia Jingdong used the Vivo X200 Pro Mini for the post.
Vivo X200 Pro Mini: Between the X200 and X200 Pro
The Vivo X200 Pro Mini will likely sit between the X200 and X200 Pro. Vivo may follow a path like Apple’s. The mini will have the size of the standard X200 but the features of the X200 Pro. We expect a premium display and a flagship chipset. This could deliver top performance in a smaller phone.
Leaks suggest that the Pro Mini will use a new LYT-818 camera sensor. This sensor, made by Sony, uses the 22nm process and is 1/1.28″ in size. It promises a better signal-to-noise ratio and lower power usage.
Camera Expectations: New Sensors in the Mix
Both the Vivo X200 Pro and X200 Pro Mini may use the Sony IMX882 sensor. The Samsung ISOCELL HP9 might handle the telephoto camera. The phones could also have the IMX921 sensor, but details are still unknown. More information should arrive as we get closer to the October 14 event.
The Vivo X200 series is launching soon. The mini version is an exciting option for those who want flagship features in a smaller phone. We will learn more in the coming weeks.
