Vivo V40 lite receives GCF and SIG listings hinting at an imminent launch
Vivo kicked off 2024 by introducing the Vivo V30 5G and the Vivo V30 Pro 5G in various markets. Now, they’ve announced the upcoming launch of the Vivo V30e in India on May 2. Alongside expanding the V30 lineup, rumors hint at Vivo’s development of the V40 series. Just last month, Vivo revealed the Vivo V40 SE 5G in Europe, powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip. Recent updates indicate that Vivo is also in the works of creating the Vivo V40 Lite.
Vivo V40 Lite GCF listings
Earlier this month, the Global Certification Forum (GCF) spotted the V40 Lite with the same model number in its database. Surprisingly, neither the Bluetooth nor GCF listings mention “5G” in the device’s name. However, the GCF certification indicates that the device will support various 5G bands including n1, n2, n3, n5, n8, n20, n28, n38, n40, n41, n66, n77, and n78.
Vivo V40 Lite SIG listings
The V2341 model of the Vivo V40 Lite showed up in Bluetooth SIG’s records. It will use Bluetooth 5.1.
The Vivo V40 Lite’s other details are still a secret. Usually, devices listed in Bluetooth SIG’s database get released within a month. So, we can expect the V40 Lite to be announced in May or June. This release will mark the successor to the V30 Lite, which came out in December 2023.
