Vivo is running an open beta of its new Originals, which is expected to replace FuntouchOS, with manufacturers releasing FuntouchOS 11 based on the Android 11 beta program for some of its devices in India. The stable version of the software was released with Vivo V20. But the V20 Pro 5G‘s version of the OS has been bumped up shortly after its release.
Vivo makes a schedule for pushing this FuntouchOS 11. According to the schedule, this program will start at end of January. Starting from the end of January 2021, Vivo V19 and X50 owners can get a taste of FuntouchOS 11. The V17, V17 Pro, V15 Pro, and Vivo S1 users will get this update at the end of March 2021. The S1 Pro, Z1x, and Z1 Pro will get this OTP update at the end of April 2021. At last, there is the Vivo V15 which will get this update at the end of June 2021.
It will be a big update for these smartphones. We can say it’s a big step forward compared to the previous iterations of the software. There are some additional features and slightly different UI between OriginOS and FuntouchOS. Other regions are staying with OriginOs but we don’t know why the India region is pushing the FuntouchOS update.
