Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 review is out for the consumers
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 review is out for the consumers. During the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked events, we spent some time with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4; for an early peek at the new foldable flagship, see our hands-on review.
There were other things, too, that we were unable to test back then. As a test unit is already present at the office, our customary thorough testing is set to begin. Instead of the Gray-green that we first handled, it is in the normal Phantom Black shade (which Samsung designated the hero color for this generation).
The phone itself, a USB-C to C connector, and a SIM ejector are all included in the retail box. No, not even the $1,800, €1,800, or £1,650 phone comes with a charger. The phone arrives open with its 7.6″ internal display extended, which is the only reason the package is this enormous.

The 25W charging rating for the Galaxy Z Fold4 is the same as for its predecessor. However, after certain adjustments, the phone now charges more quickly; in accordance with official data, it goes from 0% to 50% in 30 minutes. In our tests, the Z Fold3 only increased by 33% at that time. Keep in mind that a 25W USB Power Delivery charger or a 15W wireless charger is required for the quickest charging.
We can’t wait to try the camera, which is another item. It still falls short of the S22 Ultra’s benchmark, but at least it should be comparable to the S22/S22+. It utilizes the same 50MP GN3 sensor (1.57″, 1.0 m pixels) as the two S22 versions, as well as a 10MP telephoto camera with a 3x lens.
The internal and cover displays’ aspect ratios have been significantly modified, which should improve their ergonomics. Watch this space for a comprehensive report that will be available soon.
