Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a new telephoto sensor
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a new telephoto sensor. On February 1, Samsung is said to be revealing the Galaxy S23 family, including the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Galaxy S24 Ultra has been the subject of additional speculation today, while it is still not official.
The S24 Ultra, the follow-up to the S23 Ultra, will be released in the first half of 2024. Ice Universe, a notorious leaker, claims that the Galaxy S24 Ultra would “implement a novel solution” instead of the telephoto sensor used in its predecessors. Assuming this is the periscope zoom telephoto sensor, as Ice Universe doesn’t specify.
However, the upgrade might also include the 3x zoom module. However, the primary camera on the S24 Ultra is said to be either unchanged from the S23 Ultra or undergo minor adjustments. Image quality is said to have improved because of advancements in color science and “AI algorithms” in the forthcoming S23 Ultra, despite the device retaining the same zooming technology as the S22 Ultra.

The Ice Universe was also the source of such data. Therefore, the S23 Ultra will bring about some improvements in zoom picture quality, but the S24 Ultra, if we wait another year, may offer us some groundbreaking new technology.
However, the primary camera will undergo a significant upgrade in 2023 with the introduction of a new 200 MP sensor, which will be utilized again in 2024 in either its current form or a slightly modified variant. Of course, considering how far away we still are from the eventual arrival of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, you should view all of this with a good dosage of skepticism. To see how things work out would be fascinating.
