Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra features a lower-resolution selfie camera

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra features a lower-resolution selfie camera. The Galaxy S20 Ultra has been the premium S series member with a 40MP selfie camera since the very first model was released. GalaxyClub has reported that the next Galaxy S23 Ultra, due out in February 2023, would include a new sensor with a reduced resolution.

The Galaxy S23 and S23+, as has been previously rumoured, will consist of a new and improved front-facing camera. They will upgrade the front-facing camera from 10 to 12 megapixels, with the same resolution sensor also included in the S23 Ultra.

Although this may appear like an improvement for the S23 and S23+, it is a downgrade for the Ultra. Though pixel count isn’t everything, most of us should know by now that we may achieve improved overall picture quality. And who knows? One day soon, we’ll have AF on the front. Yes, we dare to hope.
