Samsung is probably getting ready to launch its new Galaxy A55 5G phone. We can see this from different certification listings. The phone recently showed up in the FCC database. This showed us some important things about it.
Galaxy A55 5G FCC listing
The FCC says the phone’s model number is SM-A556E/DS. It will have two SIM slots and charge quickly at 25W. The charging adapter’s model number is EP-TA800.
The charging information is the same as what was approved in the 3C certification. But, like newer Samsung phones, the 3C certification suggests that the Galaxy A55 5G might not have a charger in the box.
The FCC listing doesn’t tell us more about the phone’s specs, like its processor, screen, or camera. But, from previous reports, it’s likely to have the Exynos 1480 chipset.
Renders
We saw pictures that looked official of the Galaxy A55. The new phone doesn’t look much different from its predecessors. It has the same cameras on the back and a screen with a hole in it. The edges are still flat. People think it will come in blue, lilac, and navy colors.
Samsung Galaxy A55 5G specifications
It will feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Speculation surrounds the presence of an Exynos 1480 SoC and an AMD GPU. The anticipated configuration includes a 5,000mAh battery, a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5-megapixel macro camera on the rear, with a 32-megapixel front camera.
The Galaxy A55 appeared on Geekbench. It has the same chip. The chip is called Exynos 1480. It seems to have four fast cores. Each core runs at 2.75 GHz. It also has four power-saving cores. They run at 2.05 GHz. The chip includes an Xclipse 530 GPU too.
The Geekbench website shows that the chip will come with up to 8GB of RAM. Also, it’s likely to use Android 14 when you first get it.
