Redmi Note 13 5G series launched in India with HyperOS, sale will begin on January 10

In September 2023, Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 13 series in China. After a three-month wait, the lineup has now made its debut in the international market, starting with India. The lineup includes three models: Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G. The initial sale will take place at noon on January 10, accessible through Mi.com, Flipkart, and retail outlets.

These three phones are identical to those available in China. But the basic model stands out with an upgraded camera system compared to its Chinese version.

Display

The Redmi Note 13 5G, Note 13 Pro 5G, and Note 13 Pro+ 5G all feature a 6.67-inch centered punch-hole AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. But the vanilla one offers a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), and the Pro and Pro+ offer a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. It is 8.6mm in thickness. All of these variants support up to 1920Hz PWM dimming but the peak brightness is 1000 nits for the Note 13 5G and, 1800 nits for the Pro duos.

Chipset, OS, and Storage

The Redmi Note 13 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset and paired up with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G comes with Snapdragon 7s Gen2 SoC and paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. While the Pro+ 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7020 Ultra and paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. All three variants run on Android 13-based MIUI 14. There is one change compared to the initial launch – they all ship with HyperOS straight out of the box.

Camera

On the front camera, All three variants sport a 16MP selfie camera. On the rear panel, all of the Note 13 variants sport a triple camera setup comprised of a 108MP primary camera for the vanilla one, an OIS-assisted 200MP primary sensor for the Pro variants, and an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro shooter for all variants.

Battery and other features and connectivity

The Note 13 5G and Note 13 Pro+ 5G sport a 5000mAh battery, while supporting up to 33W, and 120W fast charging respectively. The Redmi Note 13 5G has a 5,100mAh battery with support for up to 67W fast charging.

On the other features and connectivity, there are dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual stereo speakers, a MicroSD card slot, and an IR blaster. There are side-mounted fingerprint scanners for the vanilla one while there are in-display fingerprint scanners on the Pro variants.
