Redmi Note 12R will launch as Redmi 12 5G globally and as Poco M6 Pro 5G in India
The Redmi Note 12R is a new phone from Xiaomi in China. It has the latest Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip and can use 5G networks. Xiaomi hasn’t said if it will be sold worldwide, but a tipster named Kacper Skrzypek thinks it might have a different name in other countries.
According to a tweet by Kacper Skrzypek, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 12R will be called Redmi 12 5G worldwide. In India, it may be known as the Poco M6 Pro 5G. It’s worth mentioning that the Poco M5 Pro hasn’t been released in India, which could mean they might skip it and introduce the M6 Pro 5G instead. The Redmi Note 12R has a punch-hole camera in the center. It has a large 6.79-inch screen with clear and smooth visuals. The will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, which allows for fast 5G internet. It has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, providing plenty of space for apps and files.
For photos, the phone has two cameras on the back, one with 50 megapixels for detailed shots and another with 2 megapixels for depth. The front camera has 5 megapixels for selfies and video calls.
The phone comes with Android 13 and MIUI 14, a custom interface made by the company. It has a 5,000mAh battery that lasts a long time and supports 18W charging for quick recharging.
