Realme 12 Pro series Camera sensor reveals
Realme is set to reveal the Realme 12 Pro series of smartphones on January 29. Before the official announcement, the brand is confirming key specifications. Initial assumptions suggested both the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ had the same Sony IMX890 primary camera. Yet, a recent poster reveals that the 12 Pro features a distinct primary camera sensor.
The Realme 12 Pro+ will come equipped with the widely-used Sony IMX890 camera sensor, commonly seen in flagship and sub-flagship phones. Meanwhile, the Realme 12 Pro will sport the new Sony IMX882 sensor, identical to the LYT-600 sensor found in phones like the Oppo Reno 11 5G and Vivo S18e in the Chinese market.
On the back of Reame 12 Pro+ there is a 64-megapixel OV64B periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. In contrast, the 12 Pro will have a 32-megapixel telephoto camera. Both devices will also feature an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
Reports suggest that the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ will come with a 16-megapixel and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, respectively.
