Oppo Find X8 to bring a major change in design from its predecessor, check renders here

The Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are set for a global launch in October. Unlike the Oppo Find X7 series, which was limited to China, these new models will reach a wider audience. Recently, a tipster named i冰宇宙 shared a render of the Oppo Find X8, revealing some key design changes.

Oppo Find X8 series render description

The render shows that the Find X8 will feature flat sides, a notable shift from the curved design of the Find X7. A new button called the “Quick Button” appears on the bottom right of the device. This capacitive button works like the Capture button on the upcoming iPhone 16 but lacks any protrusion like the power and volume buttons.

The Oppo Find X8 retains a large camera island with a protrusion similar to that of its predecessor. The base model of the Find X8 has a flat back panel and a rounded square camera island. The camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor from Sony, a 50 MP ultrawide lens, and a 3x periscope telephoto lens. The Find X8 Pro may feature an additional 10x periscope telephoto lens, creating a quad-camera setup.

A real-life image of the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro reveals a redesigned camera island. The “H” logo has moved to the center, giving the design a more balanced look. This new camera placement aligns with the base model, where two lenses are visible on each side.

While the Find X8 Pro still has a circular camera, one or both phones may be prototypes. The company might have experimented with different designs, but both models will likely share the same camera island design.

Earlier rumors suggested that the base model would have a flat design, while the Pro version would keep the curved display like the Find X7. The newly revealed render confirms this distinction between the Oppo Find X8 and its Pro counterpart.
