Motorola Moto G64 5G launched in India, the first smartphone with Dimensity 7025 SoC
The Motorola Moto G64 5G just hit the Indian market, boasting the brand-new Dimensity 7025 chipset. It takes over from the popular Moto G54 5G released last year. This new chipset is a boosted version of the Dimenisty 7020 found in the Moto G54. Much like its predecessor, the G64 aims to offer great value for those seeking an affordable 5G phone. The Moto G64 has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a punch-hole design. The display is FHD+ and has a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It’s protected by Gorilla Glass. The phone’s chassis is IP52-rated, 8.89mm thick, and weighs 192 grams.
Powered by Dimensity 7025, it comes with either 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. It has a massive 6,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. You can expand storage with a microSD card slot.
The Motorola Moto G64 has a dual-camera setup in a rectangular bump on its back. The main camera boasts a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). Accompanying it is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens that also works as a macro camera. On the front, there’s a 16-megapixel selfie camera housed in a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout on the screen.
Running on Android 14 with a MyUX skin, the Moto G64 5G ensures users a guaranteed update to Android 15 and three years of security updates. It supports nine 5G bands, features dual SIM capability, and offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, a USB-C port, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Moto G64 5G comes in two versions in India: one with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage for Rs 14,999, and another with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage for Rs 16,999. It’s available in Ice Lilac, Pearl Blue, and Mint Green colors.
Motorola has some offers for G64 buyers. If you use an HDFC Bank Card, you can get up to Rs 1,100 off instantly. With full swipes on the credit card, you get an instant Rs 1,000 discount, making the starting price Rs 13,999 for the 8GB+128GB model and Rs 15,999 for the 12GB+256GB model.
For HDFC Bank Credit Card or Debit Card EMI transactions, there’s a discount of Rs 1,100, making the starting price Rs 13,899 for the 8GB+128GB model and Rs 15,899 for the 12GB+256GB model.
Another option is to trade in your old phone on Flipkart, where you can get a Rs 1,000 bump-up in the exchange value. This brings the starting price down to Rs 13,999 for the 8GB+128GB model and Rs 15,999 for the 12GB+256GB model. The first sale on Flipkart is on April 23.
