Moto Edge X30 gets performance patches for Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The Moto Edge X30 from the Lenovo-owned Motorola brand was introduced as the initial Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 smartphone. It was the first smartphone to feature the most recent Qualcomm flagship processor. It had several optimization problems. The company was able to resolve several of them through an update to the software released in the last few days.
The company is now rolling out another update that includes a variety of improvements. According to the Official Motorola Weibo account, users of the Moto Edge X30 can expect an update to the system with new firmware SOSC32.16-49-4 within China. While the update is significant and has a long changelog, it’s just 236MB. The most important thing is that the new version of Moto Edge X30 raises the security patch level to January 2022.

This makes the phone one of the very few handsets like the OPPO Reno 10-x Zoom and Galaxy A51 be on the most current levels of security patches. Additionally, the software version comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 performance optimization patches from Qualcomm.
The update also includes Bluetooth compatibility to Snapdragon Sound. Furthermore, this update includes upgraded applications for first-party apps and some new features, such as global search, a separate control center as well as a separate notification center 5G switch and a double-click power button gestures to make contactless payments.
Additionally, it includes corrections for excessive power consumption and other issues. Lastly, the changelog outlines improvements for various things, like the performance of gaming, performance on networks processing and charging and camera performance—the algorithm for adjusting brightness on screens, to mention just a few.
