MIIT published Vivo X Fold+ photos recently. Although Vivo hasn’t said when the updated X Fold+ will be unveiled, the new foldable flagship has been leaked, according to China’s MIIT. Although the outside may appear the same, everything inside is brand new.

The black version in the photographs has the same ornamental band across the Vivo logo on the fake outer leather. The internals of the Vivo X Fold+ will be improved with the addition of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor (an improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1) and the addition of support for 80W fast charging to the 4,600mAh battery (up from 66W).

Compared to the original Vivo X Fold, the screens and cameras shouldn’t have been modified in any way. Display specs include a 6.53-inch cover screen (21:9, Full HD+, 120Hz, AMOLED) and an 8.03-inch primary screen (1,916 x 2,160px, 120Hz, LTPO AMOLED).

It is expected that all four Zeiss-branded cameras would consist of the same specifications: 50MP main module (1/1.57″ sensor, 1.0m, OIS), 48MP ultra-wide (114°), 12MP portrait cam (2x), and 8MP periscope (5x, OIS). The device has not one but two selfie cameras, one external and one inside. Now that the X Fold+ has passed all necessary government inspections, we must officially wait for Vivo to announce it.
