iPhone 14 will use A15 chipset, 14 Pro to use A16, new corroborates. The entry-tier iPhone 14 models have the A16 Bionic chip, while the Pro models have the A15. While an A16 Bionic chip is likely desirable, Apple chose not to provide it to lower tier iPhones in order to focus on producing more expensive one.

The reason for this decision may be due to industry-wide supply chain shortages and thus want to produce more cases of the more expensive Pro models. A 16 Bionic chipset is certainly no slouch with current competing chipsets and will be present in entry-tier iPhones meaning these phones are not a deal breaker for most people.
