Huawei Nova Y62 and Y62 Plus launched with 5000mAh battery, 2.2GHz chip and 50MP triple camera setup
Huawei has quietly introduced the Huawei Nova Y62 series, a new mid-range smartphone lineup in South Africa. It consists of two models: the Nova Y62 and the Nova Y62 Plus. Let’s check out the specs, features, and prices for both phones.
The Nova Y62 and Y62 Plus feature a 6.52-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution (720 x 1600 pixels) and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Both phones run on a mystery octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. The Huawei Nova Y62 comes in 4GB/128GB variants and the Y62 Plus has an 8GB/128GB variant. Both have a microSD card slot for additional storage. The Nova Y62 series runs on Android 12, which has a layer of EMU 12 on top. These devices come with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) but lack Google Mobile Services. On the back, both of them feature dual cameras – a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and an LED flash. On the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera. Both the Y62 and Y62 Plus sport a 5,000mAh battery with support for 22.5W charging.
The other features are dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a USB-C port, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
These devices will come in two colors- Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black. This series is now available in South Africa. Till now prices of the Huawei Nova Y62 and Y62 Plus are still unknown. We expect to get this series in other regions too as soon as possible.
