Honor Play 40 Plus 5G is launching with a 6,000 mAh battery. Today, the company has a big day, launching two new products: the Play 40 Plus 5G in China and the X6 in the United Kingdom. The new phone has a massive battery, two 50-megapixel cameras, and a Dimensity 700 CPU.
The LCD on the Play 40 Plus is 6.74 inches long and can display 720p video at 90 frames per second. The waterdrop-shaped cutout at the top of the display houses the 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Due to technical limitations with the display, the fingerprint sensor is on the side, above the power button.

The front-facing camera is 5 megapixels, while the main camera has a 2-megapixel depth sensor. As for the design, Honor took a cue from the number series and implemented its twin-circle approach with overlapping rings—but only on the colourful variants.
The black version has a more basic rear. The Play 40 Plus is available in four hues: purple, silver, blue, and black. The base 6/128GB model costs CNY1,199 ($165), while the 8/128GB and 256GB models cost CNY1,399 ($195) and CNY1,599 ($220), respectively.
