HarmonyOS 2.0 available for Huawei P30 and Mate 30 Pro

Huawei enrolled the HarmonyOS 2.0 Beta update for some of its devices. Now it is available for Huawei P30 and Mate 30 Pro.

If the interface looks familiar, it’s because it’s EMUI 11. Which was created with both Harmony and Android in mind. Also, Huawei’s in-house OS fully supports Android apps, so everything from the app gallery should work.

According to the latest Weibo posts, the new update indicate that HarmonyOS is not based on Android. With that comes the compatibility level of Android, which blurs the difference.

However, the HarmonyOS 2.0 update has already rolled out on some devices. And it will continue in the eligible devices of Huawei.
