Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A55 5G NRRA and TKDN certifications hints closer global launch
The Korean giant’s new mid-range smartphones are regularly showing up on public certifications. They recently appeared on Bluetooth SIG and BIS India listings and are now on Indonesia’s TKDN. The Galaxy A35 5G is also on Korea’s NRRA certification. However, these certifications are not impressive because they lack specifications or feature details for these smartphones.
Indonesia’s TKDN and South Korea’s NRRA have both confirmed the upcoming launch in their countries. The Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A55 5G, listed on public websites before, will soon intensify the competition in the global mid-range market. They are set to launch worldwide.
Samsung Galaxy A35 and A55 specifications ( What we have got so far)
The Geekbench benchmarks for the Galaxy A35 5G have provided insights into its specifications and improvements over its predecessor. Identified by the model number SM-A356U, it features the Exynos 1380 chipset, the same as the Galaxy A54 and M54/F54. This octa-core chipset has four cores running at 2 GHz and four at 2.40 GHz. The phone boasts 6GB of RAM and operates on the Android 14 OS. In terms of performance, it achieves 697 points in Geekbench’s single-core test and 2,332 points in the multi-core test. Details regarding the display size, camera specifications, and battery capacity remain undisclosed.
On the other hand, the upcoming Galaxy A55 5G is confirmed to support 25W wired fast charging, validated by TUV Rheinland and 3C certifications. Expected to launch between April and June 2024, it will feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Speculation surrounds the presence of an Exynos 1480 SoC and an AMD GPU. The anticipated configuration includes a 5,000mAh battery, a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5-megapixel macro camera on the rear, with a 32-megapixel front camera. The Galaxy A35 will have curved corners and a 6.6-inch display.
Both smartphones will debut in Q2 2024, though an earlier release by Samsung wouldn’t be surprising.
