Elon Musk says Twitter takeover is on hold but he’s still committed to the acquisition. Elon Musk revealed in a tweet today that the deal to buy Twitter is “temporarily on hold” while they wait for him to get more information.
He said if the fake accounts on Twitter make up an even smaller percentage of users than what was previously estimated, then this will affect the potential value of the company and make it less appealing to Elon Musk’s possible buyer.

It is unknown what exactly is going on with negotiations at the moment, but it has naturally caused a slump in Twitter’s shares which are down by almost 4%. Regardless, Elon Musk is still dedicated to seeing this deal through so probably means he’s just playing hardball late-stage negotiating tactics with them.
