Around 50% of all iPhones could be made in India by 2027

Around 50% of all iPhones could be made in India by 2027. A fresh South China Morning Post story indicates the proportion may increase to 50% by 2027, contrary to a J.P. Morgan forecast from back in September that predicted Apple might move up to 25% of its iPhone manufacturing to India by 2025.

According to reports, Apple’s Chinese suppliers have allegedly cut down on their orders for iPhone components, which has hurt both their stock prices and profit forecasts. Although there has been a rush to build more recent models, such as the iPhone 14, only a few weeks after manufacturing in China started, India now only produces 5% of all iPhones.

According to rumors, Apple will start producing the iPhone 15 series simultaneously in China and India. With more AirPods and MacBooks being produced in Vietnam rather than China, Apple’s efforts to diversify its iPhone manufacturing away from China have now spread to the rest of its product line.
