A new leak reveals Huawei Mate 70 Pro design and specs
Huawei is preparing to launch its Mate 70 series smartphones soon. While details have been limited, a recent leak offers insights into the design and hardware upgrades of the Mate 70 Pro.
Huawei Mate 70 Pro leaked specifications
Design
The most striking update is on the back of the phone. According to a render shared by TechBoilers, the Mate 70 Pro keeps its circular camera module but now features a thicker outer glass ring. The LED flash moves to the bottom of the ring, alongside a new “AI-DC” inscription, hinting at AI-driven image processing.
Chipset
The Mate 70 Pro will reportedly run on a new Kirin 9100 chipset. Though details of this SoC are limited, it promises better performance and efficiency than the Kirin 9000S in the Mate 60 Pro.
Camera
The camera system also sees some changes. The main sensor is expected to be a 60MP unit, up from the 50MP sensor on the Mate 60 Pro. The 12MP ultrawide sensor and the 48MP 5x periscope telephoto lens will likely remain unchanged. The Mate 70 Pro is rumored to have a 48MP sensor for the front camera, replacing the 32MP unit on the Mate 60 Pro. A 3D ToF sensor is also expected for advanced facial recognition.
Remember that these are leaks, and Huawei has not officially confirmed any details yet. We will see if these changes are enough to compete with other flagship phones if they are accurate.
