Vivo V40 Lite launched in Europe without charger and minor upgrades
Vivo has launched the vivo V40 Lite in Europe. The most interesting thing about this launch is this device has arrived without the charger. This trend suggests Vivo might completely remove charging adapters from entry-level and mid-range devices in the global market.
The vivo V40 Lite has similar specs to the vivo V30e, a phone already available in India. Essentially, the vivo V40 Lite is the European variant, while the vivo V30e is the Indian variant. Interestingly, while the vivo V40 Lite lacks a charger in Europe, the vivo V30e includes one for Indian users. Vivo has been making bold moves with its entry-level and mid-range devices recently.
Vivo V40 Lite specifications
The vivo V40 Lite features a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. It boasts a 6.78-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone comes with Android 14-based FuntouchOS out of the box.
In terms of memory and storage, the vivo V40 Lite includes LPDDR4X RAM and a UFS 2.2 storage unit. It’s available on Amazon Spain in an 8GB+256GB configuration for €399. The phone comes in Brown and White color options. Compared to the regular vivo V40, the vivo V40 Lite offers slightly lower performance due to its Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset.
The vivo V40 Lite packs a 5500 mAh battery and supports 44W fast charging. However, the charger is not included and must be purchased separately. The phone is equipped with a 50 MP Sony IMX 882 main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2 MP macro camera. Additionally, the vivo V40 Lite supports e-SIM as well.
