Contrary to initial expectations of the OnePlus Nord N30 SE being a rebranded OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite, recent Geekbench test results indicate significant differences.
OnePlus Nord N30 SE Geekbench listings
The tested CPH2605 variant is powered by a MediaTek 6020, unlike the Snapdragon 695 used in the Nord CE Lite and Nord N30. Additionally, the N30 SE appears to have 4GB of RAM in this configuration, whereas the other models boast a standard 8GB. Notably, the MediaTek 6020 is slightly slower than the Snapdragon 695, confirming a noteworthy performance distinction. This device scores 703 in single-core tests and 1781 in multi-core tests.
The SE model is the more budget-friendly option when compared to the previous Nord N20 5G and Nord N20 SE models. Unlike its predecessor, the SE lacked 5G connectivity and featured a Helio G35 chipset. This new model, however, includes 5G support. Along with reduced RAM, there were downgrades in display and camera specifications.
According to an early TDRA listing, the phone will come with a 4,880mAh battery (likely 5,000mAh typical) and 33W fast charging. In contrast, its siblings, the Nord 3 CE Lite and N30, boast 5,000mAh batteries with 67W and 50W charging, respectively.
The operating system version is Android 13, aligning with expectations for a more budget-friendly device. The exact pricing is unknown till now. But we expect to price the N30 SE lower, considering the Nord N30’s launch price of USD 300/CAD 380.
