Huawei Mate Xs 2 review has already been out
Huawei Mate Xs 2 review has already been out. In May, Huawei introduced the new foldable Mate Xs 2, and we were there to report our own observations. The smartphone was scarce back then, but Huawei is finally bringing it to shop shelves, and we were able to get our hands on one.
Our Mate Xs 2 is a White version, one of three colors available. Since the phone folds outwards, the leather-like finish on the rear is more of an afterthought than the color. Nevertheless, when the Mate is opened, it feels lovely in the hands.
We adore the phone’s 5.4 mm base thickness, which is doubled to 11.1 mm by the camera hump and serves as the phone’s overall thickness when folded. The panel is made by BOE, and we appreciate how difficult it was to locate any wrinkles given its nearly wrinkle-free appearance.
The folding 7.8″ screen has pre-applied plastic protection but no glass to protect it from the outdoors. It has some little scratches already, luckily not noticeable when the smartphone is in use. Folding the Huawei Mate Xs 2 results in a 6.5″ screen on the front side and a dark rear. But you can utilize the primary cameras to take selfies while using it as a viewfinder.

To determine whether HarmonyOS 2.0 has capabilities that enable the second display, we will probe further in our comprehensive evaluation. Thankfully, the retail packaging includes a unique protective shell that shields the display’s back.
This phone has Petal Search, Petal Maps, and AppGallery, and the Huawei ecosystem is growing more and more feature-rich. It even offers app suggestions that can be downloaded right from the home screen. The Huawei Mate Xs 2 offers enticing design elements and promising cameras.
Although the entire display is exposed due to its folding shape, there is no doubt about its outstanding appearance and functional advantages. In this assessment, we’ll look over each of the use case scenarios to see whether the €1,999 price tag is reasonable. Stay tuned; the testing has already begun.
