Samsung will only update the Galaxy A51 twice a year from now on. Samsung promises the possibility of four years worth of updates to security as well as the three biggest Android updates for the majority of its phones which includes Samsung’s Galaxy A series.
However, this does not mean that monthly security updates are included in the first place, at least, not according to Samsung’s own website. Samsung’s Galaxy A51, according to Samsung’s official updates website will receive only two updates every year starting from this point from now.

This despite its age of over two years old and has so far got one of the major Android OS upgrades it’s been promised. And it’s one of the top selling models. To make matters more difficult, the less popular Galaxy A51 5G will get security updates every quarter, which is twice as often than its much-loved sister.
We’re hoping that this won’t change any aspect of future plans for bringing Android 12 and Android 13 to the Galaxy A51, eventually. It’s important to be aware this “x years of security updates” does not necessarily mean “x years of monthly security updates”.
